So much for me trying to update more frequently. Oh well, I've been busy, what can I say? LOL.
I've got a new Site of the Month, since... well, it's a new month! This month I've awarded Jo @ Unfolding because she's just super awesome! I kinda skipped last month, not on purpose though. I swear, I WILL try to do this once a month. But when it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. Oh wow, I sound gloomy. It's not ALL BAD though :)

I've only had time for 4 new pieces of art, 3 Twilight and one Celebrity:
Make Me Feel - Jasper/Bella ♥ I think these two have loads of potential and they could have chemistry, if onyl SMeyer had let them interact more. I read a wonderful short little fic on LiveJournal, and that inspired me to make this piece. I wanted the feel of it to be kinda electric, sexy tension... I hope I managed. The wallpaper's been in progress for more than 2 weeks - it kinda didn't want to finish the way I wanted it to. But I finally got it :D
Painted Black - This is Irina/Laurent and I suppose it's pretty straight forward. Irina's confused, kind of thinking "where to now?" and Laurent is looking like he does not care. It's right before he's going to leave her and obviously, she's sensing that something's up but she doesn't know what to do to make him stay.
Battlefeld - Irina ♥ I have much love for this character, for some reason - I think there's a lot more to her than meets the eye and I just wish she hadn't been dealt such a bad hand from SMeyer :( This piece is about how Irina would have felt after Laurent left her, and betrayed her (and the Cullen's) trust, when he went after Bella in the meadow (and subsequently got himself killed). She's hurting because he's dead but she is also struggling inside because even though she now knows he did not really love her, she still loves him and she's confused because she should be feeling angry that he betrayed her and her extended family.
Rough La Beouf - Quite simple Shia LaBeouf piece that I made for Heather's challenge over at BuffyForums, about using member's quotes in art. I just loved what Lyn said about Shia, and obviously I agree wholehearterdly with what she said! I tried a couple different things with this piece, it ended up rather a mess I guess, but I just wanted to try something different. I do quite like it.

I have also added 21 new models scans (Sasha Pivovarova, Lily Donaldson, Boyd Holbrook, Freja Beha, Caroline Trentini, etc) and a few new ones of Mischa Barton.

My updating in 2008 failed epicly and I really am going to try much harder this year. 2009 shall be the year for me!

I've been busy the past few month. I have had an EPIC battle with Heather involving Twilight pairings who weren't Edward and Bella together. It was awesome and it really pushed me. I love Heather - more about that later.

I've added 9 new pieces of art and 13 new icons. You can find it all here.

Just quickly about some of the pieces:
Grey - Leah Clearwater. I came across the picture of Freja Beha in the wedding dress and for some reason it just screamed Leah to me. I also find it fitting that Freja had long hair and went short. She can also have kind of a tough look on her face, very Leah in my eyes ♥
Ghost of Love - This is Tanya's POV, and it's right after Edward meets Bella. Tanya and Edward was having an on and off relationship, not living together but not seeing other people either.
So this is while Edward is away from Forks during Twilight/Midnight Sun, and he tries to make it work with Tanya. But he is distant, and Tanya feels it... it doesn't work out and he leaves to go back to Forks.
Please Be Mine - Irina/Laurent, again for my battle with Heather. Irina has found her soul mate in Laurent. Laurent has found... pastime in Irina, at best. Irina loves him and will do anything for him but Laurent is easily distracted and does not plan on sticking with Irina for long. He's just biding his time until something better/more interesting comes up.
The Right Way 'Round - In my head this couple is just pure FUN! I have this idea that once they have established their relationship, they are a couple who likes to have fun. They ARE fun! I think that they are really fun loving people who don't take life too seriously, because now they have each other, what else is there? They have forever together so why should they be so serious about it? They're enjoying life (well, after-life?) to the fullest and that includes having fun!
Silver Lining - The Host, Ian/Wanda. I made the plain graphic originally for my Ian/Wanda fanlisting but loved the two images so much that I decided to make it into a wallpaper also. I made it kind of 'space' looking, because.. well alien LOL. It's quite simple, I suppose but I loved working on it.
Several Miles From The Sun - Robin Hood piece from 2.13. This was such a heartbreaking moment for me and ever since I watched it the first time, I've wanted to art it. I've had this piece in my WIP folder for months and finally found the inspiration to finish it the other day.
I really love how the colors turned out, I suppose a bit unusual for a moment like this but I was trying out some techniques and working on only a small area of the canvas as well and I think it turned out ok :p
It Doesn't Hurt - My final battle piece was Bella/Rosalie and this is definitely my favorite of mine from the battle. I even think it's one of the best I've done in a long time. Rosalie is a manip of two images, which I even scanned in myself so I am extra proud XD. Again, I was trying some new techniques and resources and it worked out in my favor.
My thoughts: Rosalie does not get Bella and Bella does not get Rosalie. Until Bella gets knocked up. Rosalie never knew Bella wanted a baby (which she didn't but whatever) and she is not compassionate towards Bella because she wants to steal the baby, but because she now sees a side to Bella that she never saw. A side she sees in herself (or saw in herself as human). They will never be BFF's but they reach common ground somehow.

It's been about 3 months since my last update, which is so poor, if you ask me! I have been busy with RL stuff but I have also had time to actually make stuff, so I have lots to add with this update.

What Road - Will Scarlett ♥
Lately, I became obsessed with Robin Hood (the bbc 2006 series) and Will Scarlett is completely my hero. I want to marry him! I just made this wallpaper because I wanted something pretty to look at for my desktop. I like how it turned out, as pretty as himself :p
Cry Your Name - With this one, I wanted to try out some new stock images I'd collected of stars and skies and stuff. Also, I'd stumbled across this Lois promo image that I hadn't seen before and it made me think of her and Clark together, because as much as I love Chlark, Clois is my OTP ♥
Take You Out - An Emma Frost & Kitty Pryde moment from the Giant Size Astonishing X-Men issue. I really loved this moment, these are my two favorite characters and they're not exactly BFF's. This moment tied in nicely with that from the first issue, which had the two of them talking about their 'relationship'. Anyway, I was hugely inspired by some previous pieces of Jj's ♥ and wanted to try this sort of style out myself.
That's it. It's not a huge amount of content but I guess I've been busier with real life than I thought.

Another update within the same month? Wow. Anyway, I have the obvious new layout, which has been up for about a week now. Thanks for all the lovely comments about it guys, I really appreciate it ♥
I am really happy how this layout turned out, I have had these pictures of Caroline Trentini on my harddrive for a while and I am just so in love with the colors in the shoot, that I really wanted to put it into a layout. I tried to really bring out the colors and I think i succeeded. I hope I did.

I also have 10 new pieces of art which sounds like a lot but it's over a span of 2 months or so, so it's not that much I guess. I also added 30 Doctor Who icons from the season 2 episode "New Earth" a little while ago.
I've also added 8 new textures.

About the art:
You're In Love With Him - It's Wanda and Jared. Wanda in Melanie's body, obviously. I didn't exactly picture Megan Fox as Melanie/Wanda while I read the book, but I came across this picture on my harddrive and I really thought it was perfect to use for a Wanda and Jared piece. My Jared is Jensen Ackles because I did picture him that way while reading the book.
It's A Strange World - Kyle and Sunny. I don't know why I did this, I guess it's cos Sunny is extremely adorable and I like how Kyle is with her. Rachel is perfect as Sunny in my eyes and Jamie Bamber is kind of good as Kyle, in this picture anyways. yeah, it turned out kind of blue, don't know why :p
Your Future - My first Host piece, Wanda and Ian ♥ This is my OTP of this book, for sure. I thought Caroline Trentini would be perfect for new Wanda and I got the idea to use Ben Barnes off of the lj community, before I knew who he was. I don't think he's the best choice for Ian but he works in this piece, I think.
There's More To You - A Transformers piece I made for a challenge over at BuffyForums. I was inspired by this piece of Lyn's and wanted to try out this kind of composition. I like the result, it turned out almost like I'd pictured it, which isn't always the case LOL.
Cold Ones - The Cullens! Simple really, just that old promo shoot. I wanted to concentrate on the text ehre, because I really love that conversation and that was pretty much what I wanted the piece to be about.

Ok, so i know I suck for the lack of updates, i really don't even have an excuse. Even if I had, it wouldn't matter anyway because not updating just sucks.
Anyways, this is not even a real update, other than to announce my Site of the Month for June, the marvellous Amber @ Reflection.


I have a semi-huge update planned, lots of art and I'm also planning a new layout, but haven't actually started yet, so perhaps I'll do two seperate updates (wow that'll be the day).
